The 2012 season will mark Snowdon’s third year in professional baseball, his second in Sioux City.

The Renton, WA native was a strong arm for the X’s out of the bullpen. In 30 relief appearances, Snowdon carried a 4.47 earned run average, striking out 59 batters in 50 1/3 innings, collecting 4 saves.

The 26-year-old started the 2011 season in the starting rotation and soon shifted to the bullpen after two appearances.

In 2010, Snowdon was a member of the Tucson Toros, along with X’s teammates Wally Backman Jr. and Ryan Priddy. That year he posted a 2.97 earned run average out of the bullpen, striking out 34 batters in 39 1/3 innings.

His efforts that season led to a mid-season call up by the Philadelphia Phillies. He reported to the Phillies short-season team, where Snowdon appeared in 7 games, struck out 10 batters, allowed only one free pass and gave up one run in 9.2 innings pitched.
