Jason Roenicke comes to the Outlaws with a family history of baseball success. His father, uncle, and brother have all experienced what its like to play in the big leagues. His father, Gary, played parts of 12 seasons in the MLB, spending the majority of his time with the Baltimore Orioles. His brother, Josh, is currently on the 40 man roster for the Toronto Blue Jays but has yet to play a game this season. Lastly, his uncle, Ron, is in his first year as skipper of the Milwaukee Brewers.
Jason comes to the Outlaws with two years of singe A ball and one year of Indy ball under his belt. He spent two years in the Blue Jays organization after being selected in the 19th round in 2008. Last season, while pitching for the Evansville Otters in the Frontier League, Roenicke went 3-3 with a 4.76 ERA.
