Colina began the 2010 season with the Triple-A Charlotte Knights in the Chicago White Sox organization, totaling four homers, 15 RBI, nine runs, and nine doubles in 40 games before signing with the Ducks on July 8th. With Long Island, the infielder tallied seven home runs, 37 RBI, 19 doubles and a .266 average in 67 games. The Venezuela native was a member of the Newark Bears during the 2007 season and posted a .309 batting average while setting career-highs in home runs (26), RBI (101), and runs (92) in 121 games. His 101 RBI led the Atlantic League while his 26 longballs ranked second. Colina is currently in his 13th season of professional baseball and has spent time in the Colorado Rockies, St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds, and White Sox organizations. Colina was originally signed as a non-drafted free agent by the Rockies in 1997.
