High School:
Simms graduated from Grossmont High School in La Mesa, Calif., in 2008. He was a two-sport athlete and earned three letters as a second baseman in baseball and two letters as the football team's quarterback. All three years he played varsity baseball, Josh earned recognition as a member of the all-league team. Twice he was named to the All-East County team. In addition to receiving honors for his play on the field, Simms secured a spot on the all-academic team and on the honor roll.

Personal:
Joshua Simms was born in Las Vegas, Nev., and is the son of Larry Simms and Victoria Bucknall. He has three siblings, Jessica (17), Ethan (11) and Spencer (12). For fun, Josh enjoys listening to music, watching sports and playing golf. In his third year at Pacific, Josh is an exploratory major.
