Britton spent 2010 in the Baltimore Orioles organization where he spent time at three different levels. He batted .229 with five doubles, one home run, 11 RBI and seven runs scored in 26 games with Frederick Keys of the Carolina League (A). Britton hit .167 with three doubles, two RBI and two runs scored in ten games with the Bowie Bay Sox of the Eastern League (AA). He also appeared in one game for the Norfolk Tides of the International League (AAA) and was 1-for-3 at the plate. Britton, from Olney, IL, was originally selected by the Atlanta Braves in the 36th round of the 2004 draft out of Olney (IL) Central College and signed prior the 2005 season as a “draft and follow” player. He spent five seasons in the Braves season and advanced to the Southern League’s (AA) Mississippi Braves. In his six-year professional career, Britton has hit .259 with 69 doubles, four triples, 25 home runs, 132 RBI and 140 runs scored in 328 games.
