Cameron Griffin expects to return to form from a year ago when he became a force in the line-up for the Cougars of Columbus State. Griffin was shuffled around defensively as a sophomore following a terrific freshman season at the hot corner for manager Greg Appleton. In 2011, Griffin’s batting average dipped down to an even .200 in 30 games with 23 starts. In a limited amount of plate appearances, Griffin was 17 for 85 with 14 runs scored and threw in a homer with 11 RBIs. He also had two doubles but was undeterred in the field with a marvelous .979 fielding percentage seeing time at third base and in the outfield.
