Matt Nylen went 2-4 as the Corvallis Knights (3-0) took home a 3-0 victory over the Portland Toros (0-1) at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field on Friday.

The Portland Toros' lineup had no answer for A.J. Burke. Burke gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his three innings of work.

Matt Pechman ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
