Mitch Elliott was hot from the plate for the Will County CrackerJacks. Elliott went 3-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fifth and seventh innings and tripled in the eighth inning.
It was a good day at the plate for the DuPage County Hounds' Gary Mayberry. Mayberry went 2-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the fifth inning.
Matt Borens recorded his first win for the Will County CrackerJacks even though he allowed five runs over eight innings. Borens struck out eight, walked three and gave up eight hits.
Jordan Chudacoff ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked four, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
