The Edinburg Roadrunners (34-21) beat the Rio Grande Valley Whitewings (31-23) 8-6 but needed 10 innings to do so on Wednesday at Harlingen Field.
The game was back-and-forth heading into the tenth, with seven lead changes.
Santana racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Edinburg Roadrunners. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the eighth and tenth innings.
The Rio Grande Valley Whitewings couldn't get anything going as long as Paul Koss was pitching. Koss held the Rio Grande Valley Whitewings hitless over 2 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four.
Wander Perez ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
