Gaines helps the San Angelo Colts down the Abilene Prairie Dogs 8-3

Ronnie Gaines collected three hits, helping the San Angelo Colts (14-15) to an 8-3 victory over the Abilene Prairie Dogs (13-16) on Saturday at Foster Field.

He singled in the first, fifth, and eighth innings.

Russell Johns had an impressive outing against the Abilene Prairie Dogs' lineup. The Abilene Prairie Dogs managed just two hits off of the the San Angelo Colts' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his three innings of work.

Gunner Glad had a hot bat for the Abilene Prairie Dogs. Glad went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the second and sixth innings.

Mike Hart improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the San Angelo Colts. He allowed three runs over five innings. Hart struck out six, walked three and gave up five hits.

Woods Fines (1-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked four and struck out five.
