Braden Strickland did his part on the mound, but it wasn't enough to carry the East Texas Pump Jacks (38-21) to a win on Saturday, as the East Texas Pump Jacks fell to the McKinney Marshals (15-41) 2-1 at Driller Park.
Strickland kept the McKinney Marshals off the board during his eight innings of work. Strickland struck out five and allowed one walk and five hits.
The East Texas Pump Jacks jumped out to an early lead, but they were unable to hang on. The East Texas Pump Jacks were ahead until the ninth inning, but the McKinney Marshals would not be denied the win, taking the lead back on an RBI single by RJ Talamantes.
Mitchell Bro allowed no earned runs, six hits and two walks while striking out two over six innings of work.
