Second-inning rally sparks blowout win for the Alexandria Aces, 13-2

A nine-run explosion in the second inning hoisted the Alexandria Aces (26-31) to a 13-2 win over the Woodlands Strykers at Strykers Stadium on Tuesday.

Garren Palmer racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Alexandria Aces. He singled in the second inning and tripled in the second inning.

Derek Vaughn's 10 strikeouts helped the Alexandria Aces to the victory. The Alexandria Aces' pitcher gave up just two hits over five shutout innings.

Despite the loss, the Woodlands Strykers (22-34)'s Nolan Riggs dominated the Alexandria Aces' batters, giving up zero runs and striking out five.

Derrick Hadley was charged with his fifth loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in two innings, walked three and struck out five.

The Alexandria Aces hammered the Woodlands Strykers pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 11 hits, 11 RBIs and 11 runs scored.
