The Alexandria Aces fall 12-5 at the hands of the Woodlands Strykers

The Woodlands Strykers (14-28) pounded the Alexandria Aces (20-24) on Thursday 12-5 at Strykers Stadium.

The Woodlands Strykers scored six runs in the second on , a single by Ryan Farney, a hit by pitch, a single by Gabe Fyock, a single by Garrett Lozano, an RBI single by Lozano, a single by Ricardo Sanchez, and an RBI single by Sanchez.

Sanchez boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 4-4 day at the plate to pace the Woodlands Strykers.

Stryker Brown was hot from the plate for the Alexandria Aces. Brown went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the first inning and homered in the fifth inning.

Brady Rodriguez recorded his first win of the year for the Woodlands Strykers. He allowed four runs over six innings. Rodriguez struck out six, walked one and gave up six hits.

Joey Kaufman (3-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
