An outstanding effort by Michael Aquino spurred the Woodlands Strykers (10-25) to a 14-7 win over the Victoria Generals (24-12) on Wednesday at Strykers Stadium.
Aquino rocked the Victoria Generals with two home runs. Aquino went 2-5 in the game with four RBIs and two runs scored. Aquino homered in the fourth and sixth innings.
The offense exploded for the the Woodlands Strykers in the sixth. In the inning the Woodlands Strykers scored 10 runs.
Jude Vidrine racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Victoria Generals. He singled in the seventh inning and homered in the eighth inning.
Kael Jones got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed one run over 3 1/3 innings. Jones struck out one, walked two and gave up two hits.
Tyler Schnuriger ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked three and struck out five.
