The McKinney Marshals (10-22) beat the East Texas Pump Jacks (25-10) 6-1 on Sunday at Allen High School behind Jessie Plumlee, who went 2-3.He doubled in the second inning and singled in the third inning.
The East Texas Pump Jacks had no answer for Taylor Hale, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The East Texas Pump Jacks managed just one hit off of Hale, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.
R.J. Santigate got on base four times in the game for the East Texas Pump Jacks. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the third, fourth, and seventh innings.
The McKinney Marshals couldn't get anything going as long as Bryce Lombardi was pitching. Lombardi held the McKinney Marshals hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.
