James Wharton brought home the go-ahead run to give the Brazos Valley Bombers (21-16) the lead in the sixth inning, as the Brazos Valley Bombers hung on to beat the Victoria Generals (24-11) 8-3 on Friday.
With the score tied at two, Wharton came to the plate and grounded out, scoring Brandon Wood.Myles Parma reached base two times. He scored three runs and had one RBI. He doubled in the ninth innings.
Ryan Santhon got the win, running his season record to 3-1. He allowed two runs over six innings. Santhon struck out five, walked three and gave up six hits.
Trae Davis (1-1) took the loss for the Victoria Generals. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out five, and allowed three runs.
