The Alexandria Aces get on top of the Woodlands Strykers early but can't hang on in 4-3 loss

The Alexandria Aces (22-27) came out firing, but couldn't hang on to the lead, ending up on the losing side of a 4-3 ballgame against the Woodlands Strykers (18-29) on Tuesday at Strykers Stadium.

While the Alexandria Aces led until the seventh inning, the Woodlands Strykers worked their way back and took the lead when Garrett Lozano was hit by a pitch.

John Almogabar looked sharp on the mound. The Alexandria Aces managed just one hit off of the the Woodlands Strykers' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out none during his three innings of work.

Michael Baxter couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Alexandria Aces, taking a loss. He lasted just 6 2/3 innings, walked five, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
