The Alexandria Aces (15-20) and the East Texas Pump Jacks (25-8) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Alexandria Aces that eventually took advantage of them in a 5-3 win at Driller Park.

The East Texas Pump Jacks' lineup had no answer for Carey Taylor. The East Texas Pump Jacks managed just one hit off of Taylor, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.

Taylor Murphy had two extra-base hits for the East Texas Pump Jacks. He doubled in the fourth and sixth innings.

Ben Frith got the win, running his season record to 2-4. He allowed three runs over five innings. Frith struck out five, walked two and gave up four hits.

Jacob Lindgren (0-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked four, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
