The Victoria Generals survive the Acadiana Cane Cutters 4-1 thanks to Vidrine's late-game heroics

Jude Vidrine brought home the winning run to give the Victoria Generals (24-11) the lead in the seventh inning, as the Victoria Generals hung on to beat the Acadiana Cane Cutters (16-18) 4-1 on Tuesday.

With the score tied at one, Vidrine came to the plate and, bringing home Alex Klonowski.

Trent Wagner racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Victoria Generals. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

The Victoria Generals relied on Bryce Zak to eat up innings en route to the win. Zak pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, three hits and two walks while striking out three.

A bright spot for the Acadiana Cane Cutters in the defeat was Andrew Richardson, who allowed only zero runs while striking out five.

William Mathis was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out six, and allowed four runs.
