Burgess' single propels the Woodlands Strykers past the East Texas Pump Jacks, 6-4

The Woodlands Strykers (9-20)'s four first-inning runs built an early lead that helped bring home a 6-4 win over the East Texas Pump Jacks (23-6) on Thursday at Strykers Stadium.

R.J. Santigate helped the Woodlands Strykers pull ahead for the duration in the seventh inning. With the East Texas Pump Jacks trailing by one in the seventh inning, Santigate came to the plate and singled, scoring Justin Wall.

Santigate racked up two RBIs on three hits for the East Texas Pump Jacks. He singled in the fourth, sixth, and seventh innings.

Brian Brightwell did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Woodlands Strykers, reaching base three times. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the seventh inning.

Derrick Hadley improved to 2-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Woodlands Strykers. He allowed four runs over 6 2/3 innings. Hadley struck out two, walked three and gave up nine hits.

Cameron Gann (2-1) took the loss for the East Texas Pump Jacks. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
