The Acadiana Cane Cutters (16-17) were never able to get over the hump and get over their troubles against the Alexandria Aces (14-19) on Thursday, as the Acadiana Cane Cutters fell 3-2 at Fabacher Field after falling behind by two runs in the fifth inning.

The Acadiana Cane Cutters scored one run in the eighth on an error. Unfortunately, the Acadiana Cane Cutters weren't able to take the lead back.

Tyler Vail picked up the win for the Alexandria Aces. Vail pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, four hits and three walks while striking out four.

Sean Kennel (1-5) took the loss for the Acadiana Cane Cutters. He lasted just nine innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
