Wagner leads the Victoria Generals to 11-4 win over the Alexandria Aces

An excellent effort by Trent Wagner carried the Victoria Generals (19-9) to an 11-4 win over the Alexandria Aces (12-18) on Wednesday at Riverside Stadium.

Wagner rocked the Alexandria Aces with two home runs. Wagner went 2-4 in the game with four RBIs and two runs scored. Wagner homered in the first and third innings.

Everything was working at the plate for the the Victoria Generals in the first. The Alexandria Aces had no answer as the Victoria Generals scored six runs.

The Alexandria Aces' lineup had no answer for Trae Davis. Davis gave up just three hits, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his four innings of work.

Jeremy Flores improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Victoria Generals. He allowed one run over two innings. Flores struck out two, walked none and gave up one hit.

Joey Kaufman ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed 11 runs in two innings, walked two and struck out one.
