Palmer gives the Alexandria Aces late push to beat the Acadiana Cane Cutters, 5-4

Story by Narrative Science.

Garren Palmer brought home the winning run to give the Alexandria Aces (12-17) the lead in the eighth inning, as the Alexandria Aces hung on to beat the Acadiana Cane Cutters (15-14) 5-4 on Monday.

With the score tied at four, Palmer came to the plate and reached on an error, bringing home Caleb Adams.

Adams racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Alexandria Aces. He singled in the sixth inning.

The Acadiana Cane Cutters had no answer for Ben Frith, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Frith held the Acadiana Cane Cutters hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two.

Patrick Michon ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.
