Evan Ramsey drove in the go-ahead run to give the McKinney Marshals (4-17) the lead in the ninth inning, as the McKinney Marshals hung on to beat the Woodlands Strykers (6-16) 2-1 on Wednesday.Sam Roberson reached on an error to start the ninth. He then went from first to third. Finally, Ramsey came to the plate with the score tied at one in the ninth inning, and singled, bringing home Roberson.
Travis Schuetze paced the McKinney Marshals at the plate. Schuetze went 3-4 and scored one run. He singled in the third, fourth, and sixth innings.
Blake Douglass allowed one earned run, four hits and three walks while striking out three over seven innings of work.
Storm Griffin got the win, running his season record to 2-1. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered no hits.
