The Woodlands Strykers defeat the East Texas Pump Jacks after late game, 6-5

The Woodlands Strykers (6-14) and the East Texas Pump Jacks (17-4) exchanged the lead six times on Sunday, but the Woodlands Strykers ended up on top with a 6-5 win over the East Texas Pump Jacks.

The Woodlands Strykers pulled out the win thanks to a strong fifth inning. A hit by pitch scored Gabe Fyock and gave the Woodlands Strykers the lead for good.

The Woodlands Strykers would not relinquish the lead as the East Texas Pump Jacks were unable to weather a two-run fifth inning deficit.

The East Texas Pump Jacks scored one run in the seventh on a sacrifice fly by John Williams. Despite their efforts, the East Texas Pump Jacks couldn't get over the hump.

Ricardo Sanchez racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Woodlands Strykers. He singled in the first and third innings.

Alex Palsha got the win, running his season record to 1-1. He allowed four runs over six innings. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered four hits.

Jacob Lindgren was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked two and struck out none.
