The East Texas Pump Jacks (14-3) and the Victoria Generals (10-6) passed the lead back and forth five times on Thursday at Driller Park, but in the end the East Texas Pump Jacks pulled out a 10-5 win over the Victoria Generals.

The East Texas Pump Jacks pulled out the win thanks to a strong sixth inning. Scored Kirby Pellant and gave the East Texas Pump Jacks the lead for good.

John Williams racked up two RBIs on two hits for the East Texas Pump Jacks. He singled in the third and sixth innings.

The Victoria Generals couldn't get anything going as long as Gerardo Esquivel was pitching. Esquivel held the Victoria Generals hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Jeff Stovall improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the East Texas Pump Jacks. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered four hits.

Jake McMurtry (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
