A great effort by Sean Kennel lifted the Acadiana Cane Cutters (4-4) to an 8-0 win over the Alexandria Aces (1-7) on Sunday at Bringhurst Field.

The Acadiana Cane Cutters' Kennel kept the Alexandria Aces off the scoreboard for all nine innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on four hits while striking out three.

Everything was working at the plate for the the Acadiana Cane Cutters in the eighth. The Acadiana Cane Cutters' bats caught fire leading to seven runs.

Austin Roussel racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Acadiana Cane Cutters. He singled in the fifth inning and doubled in the eighth inning.

Ben Frith couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Alexandria Aces, taking a loss. He lasted just seven innings, walked one, struck out eight, and allowed three runs.
