A walk-off single from Steven Pallares brought home the winning run for the La Crosse Loggers (42-20) in a 3-2 victory over the Green Bay Bullfrogs at Copeland Park on Saturday.
It was a good day at the plate for the La Crosse Loggers' Pallares. Pallares went 1-4 and drove in one. He singled in the ninth inning.
Tyler Kuresa was solid at the plate for the La Crosse Loggers. Kuresa went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fifth inning.
TJ Kendzora handled the Green Bay Bullfrogs (30-32)'s lineup with ease, racking up five strikeouts. Kendzora allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks over six innings.
Jonathan Van Eaton improved to 1-3 on the year by picking up the win for the La Crosse Loggers. He allowed one run over 1 2/3 innings. Van Eaton struck out four, walked two and gave up one hit.
Bud Jeter couldn't get it done on the mound for the Green Bay Bullfrogs, taking a loss. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.
