The Waterloo Bucks survive the Rochester Honkers rally, escape with 7-5 victory

The Rochester Honkers (25-37) weren't able to come back from the big hole they dug themselves into against the Waterloo Bucks (32-30), and the Rochester Honkers lost 7-5 to the Waterloo Bucks after falling behind by three runs in the fifth inning.

The Rochester Honkers scored one run in the eighth on a fielder's choice. Still, the Rochester Honkers couldn't draw even.

Sean Borman racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Waterloo Bucks. He homered in the fifth inning.

The Waterloo Bucks relied on Mikey Ramirez to eat up innings en route to the win. Ramirez allowed three earned runs, seven hits and one walk while striking out six over eight innings of work.

Justin Parr racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Rochester Honkers. He homered in the first inning.

Dylan Nelson (1-4) took the loss for the Rochester Honkers. He allowed seven runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out eight.
