Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Saturday as the Waterloo Bucks (27-25) outscored the Alexandria Beetles (21-31) 13-8.
The two teams combined for 27 hits in the game.
Dan Sheppard racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Waterloo Bucks. He doubled in the first and fifth innings and singled in the sixth inning.
Ben Moore racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Alexandria Beetles. He homered in the first inning and singled in the third inning.
Connor Cline got the win, running his season record to 1-2. He allowed four runs over five innings. Cline struck out three, walked four and gave up seven hits.
Brandon Johnson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
The Waterloo Bucks hammered the Alexandria Beetles pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 12 hits, 12 RBIs and nine runs scored.
