The Waterloo Bucks fend off the Willmar Stingers' late push, hold on 6-4

The Willmar Stingers (27-20) weren't able to come back from the big hole they dug themselves into against the Waterloo Bucks (24-23), and the Willmar Stingers lost 6-4 to the Waterloo Bucks after falling behind by four runs in the seventh inning.

The Willmar Stingers scored two runs in the eighth on a sacrifice fly by Max Kuhn and an RBI single by Corben Green. Still, the Willmar Stingers couldn't catch the Waterloo Bucks.

Austin Barrett racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Waterloo Bucks. He homered in the first inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Brock Hudgens struck out eight hitters en route to the the Waterloo Bucks win. Hudgens allowed two earned runs, four hits and three walks over six innings.

George Asmus ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
