The Mankato MoonDogs (28-7) pounded the Waterloo Bucks (19-16) on Wednesday 12-3 at Franklin Rogers Park.
Nick Ratajczak racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Mankato MoonDogs. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the eighth inning.
The Mankato MoonDogs relied on Adam Mott to eat up innings en route to the win. Mott allowed three earned runs, six hits and no walks while striking out three over 7 2/3 innings of work.
Jason Hockemeyer was solid at the plate for the Waterloo Bucks. Hockemeyer went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fifth inning.
Mikey Ramirez ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
