Early lead not enough for the Green Bay Bullfrogs, drop 11-6 decision to the La Crosse Loggers

The Green Bay Bullfrogs (20-13) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 11-6 to the La Crosse Loggers (24-9) on Monday.

While the Green Bay Bullfrogs led until the seventh inning, the La Crosse Loggers worked their way back and took the lead on a two-run single by Jesse Holiday.

Bobby Juan racked up two RBIs on two hits for the La Crosse Loggers. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third inning.

The Green Bay Bullfrogs couldn't get anything going as long as Holiday was on the mound. The Green Bay Bullfrogs managed just two hits off of the the La Crosse Loggers' pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out seven during his five innings of work.

Duncan McAlpine racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Green Bay Bullfrogs. He homered in the first inning.

Michael Swanner recorded his first win of the year for the La Crosse Loggers. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Bud Jeter (1-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
