The Thunder Bay Border Cats scored two runs in the sixth on two singles. Still, the Thunder Bay Border Cats couldn't catch the Waterloo Bucks.

Davis Hendrickson reached base three times in the game for the Waterloo Bucks. He singled in the third inning and tripled in the sixth inning.

Derek Lamacchia's seven strikeouts were enough to push the Waterloo Bucks past the Thunder Bay Border Cats. The Waterloo Bucks' pitcher gave up just three hits over five shutout innings.

James Buckelew ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
