McClain helps the Waterloo Bucks down the Rochester Honkers 4-2

Connor McClain went 3-3 at the plate as the Waterloo Bucks (19-13) took home a 4-2 victory over the Rochester Honkers (13-19) at Riverfront Stadium, Waterloo, I on Wednesday.

He singled in the fourth, sixth, and eighth innings.

The Rochester Honkers had no answer for Zachary Pettiford, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Rochester Honkers managed just two hits off of the the Waterloo Bucks' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Nick Williams was effective even in defeat, mowing down six the Waterloo Bucks batters and allowing zero runs.

Chris Noble was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
