Michael Zeblo drove in the go-ahead run to give the Alaska Goldpanners (17-18) the lead in the sixth inning, as the Alaska Goldpanners hung on to beat the Chugiak Chinooks (14-21) 7-4 on Friday.With the Alaska Goldpanners trailing by two, Zeblo came to the plate and hit a grand slam, bringing home Blake Miller, Paul Politi and Casey Munoz.
Zeblo racked up five RBIs on four hits for the Alaska Goldpanners. He singled in the second inning, homered in the sixth inning, and doubled in the fifth and eighth innings.
Scott Kalamar put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Chugiak Chinooks. He homered in the second inning, doubled in the third inning, and singled in the sixth inning.
Tanner Mendonca recorded his second win of the year for the Alaska Goldpanners. He allowed three runs over six innings. Mendonca struck out seven, walked two and gave up five hits.
Ryan Sullivan was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
