Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Friday as the Anchorage Bucs (12-13) outscored the Alaska Goldpanners (11-13) 14-9.
The teams totaled 28 hits in the game.
Chase Compton had three extra-base hits for the Anchorage Bucs. He homered in the fourth inning, singled in the sixth inning, and doubled in the third and seventh innings.
Scott Grist brought the heat against the Alaska Goldpanners during his outing. The Alaska Goldpanners managed just three hits off of Grist, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his five innings of work.
A bright spot for the Alaska Goldpanners in the defeat was Matt Nadolski, who allowed only zero runs while striking out six.
Jack Vander Linden (2-2) took the loss for the Alaska Goldpanners. He allowed 10 runs in five innings, walked two and struck out five.
