The Alaska Goldpanners (8-10) built an early lead against the Anchorage Bucs (10-10), scoring four runs in the first inning, en route to a 6-4 win on Saturday at Mulcahy Field.

The Alaska Goldpanners staved off the Anchorage Bucs as the Anchorage Bucs were unable to match the Alaska Goldpanners down the stretch.

The Anchorage Bucs scored on an RBI double by Zach Mathieu in the first inning, an RBI double by Brenden Kalfus in the second inning, and a two-run home run by Collin Ferguson in the sixth inning. Still, the Anchorage Bucs couldn't catch the Alaska Goldpanners.

Carl Robinson got the win, running his season record to 1-1. He allowed two runs over three innings. He struck out five, walked none and surrendered two hits.

Nick Picsotty (0-1) took the loss for the Anchorage Bucs. He lasted just zero innings, walked four, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
