The Alaska Goldpanners (16-18) rolled over the Chugiak Chinooks 9-2 on Wednesday at Growden Memorial Park after a six-run rally in the third inning.
The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to four lead changes in the game.
Paul Politi racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Alaska Goldpanners. He doubled in the second inning and homered in the third inning.
The Chugiak Chinooks (13-19) had no answer for Carl Robinson, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Robinson held the Chugiak Chinooks hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
Jack Vander Linden recorded his third win of the year for the Alaska Goldpanners. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out seven, walked two and surrendered 10 hits.
Andrew Work (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out two.
