The Rockland Boulders (48-52) and the Lincoln Saltdogs both threatened with rallies, but it was the Rockland Boulders that eventually took advantage of them in a 5-4 win at Provident Bank Park.
The Rockland Boulders would not relinquish the lead as the Lincoln Saltdogs were unable to weather a four-run second inning deficit.
The Lincoln Saltdogs scored on an RBI double by David Espinosa in the third inning, a solo home run by Nate Wilder in the fifth inning, and an RBI single by Matt Forgatch and an error in the eighth inning. Still, the Lincoln Saltdogs couldn't catch the Rockland Boulders.
Pat Moran recorded his sixth win of the year for the Rockland Boulders. He allowed two runs over six innings. Moran struck out three, walked none and gave up seven hits.
Wade Mackey was charged with the loss. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
