The Newark Bears take out the Worcester Tornadoes with help from Nathans, 8-4

The Newark Bears (34-64) beat the Worcester Tornadoes (28-70) 8-4 on Saturday at Bears_Eagles Riverfront Stadium behind Tucker Nathans, who went 3-3 at the plate.

He singled in the first and third innings and tripled in the sixth inning.

The Worcester Tornadoes couldn't get anything going as long as Sergio Espinosa was pitching. Espinosa held the Worcester Tornadoes hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Caleb Cuevas recorded his second win of the year for the Newark Bears. Cuevas struck out three, walked one and gave up no hits.

Conner Hulse (0-5) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked three and struck out none.
