The Worcester Tornadoes offense too much for the Kansas City T-Bones in 8-1 rout

The Worcester Tornadoes (24-56) shut the door early on the Kansas City T-Bones, capturing an 8-1 victory on Saturday at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitto.

The game was decided quickly as the Worcester Tornadoes exerted their will early with eight runs in the first three innings.

An RBI single by Ryan Brockett and a three-run home run by Chris Torres in the first inning and a two-run home run by Brendon Kelliher during the second inning fueled the Worcester Tornadoes' offense early.

Kelliher racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Worcester Tornadoes.

The Worcester Tornadoes relied on Dan Sausville to eat up innings en route to the win. Sausville pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, six hits and no walks while striking out four.

Josh Rainwater couldn't get it done on the hill for the Kansas City T-Bones, taking a loss. He allowed eight runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out three.
