Ryan Mollica brought home the winning run to give the Rockland Boulders (35-29) the lead in the eighth inning, as the Rockland Boulders hung on to beat the Worcester Tornadoes (18-47) 5-4 on Friday.After Ryan Scoma tripled, Mollica came to the plate with the score tied at four in the eighth inning, and singled, plating Scoma.
Scoma had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the sixth inning and tripled in the eighth inning.
Chris Rubio recorded his second win of the year for the Rockland Boulders. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered no hits.
Matt McDonald (1-3) took the loss for the Worcester Tornadoes. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
