The Worcester Tornadoes (16-33) built an early lead against the El Paso Diablos, scoring four runs in the first inning, en route to a 8-5 win on Sunday at Cohen Stadium.

Alex Trezza reached base three times in the game for the Worcester Tornadoes. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the first and ninth innings.

Michael Gedman picked up the win for the Worcester Tornadoes. Gedman allowed one earned run, seven hits and two walks while striking out four over seven innings of work.

Maikol Gonzalez had a hot bat for the El Paso Diablos. Gonzalez went 3-5 and scored one run. He singled in the third, fifth, and seventh innings.

Edgar Garcia was charged with the loss. He allowed seven runs in seven innings, walked two and struck out five.
