The Newark Bears (15-28) and the New Jersey Jackals (23-18) exchanged the lead five times on Sunday, but the Newark Bears ended up on top with an 8-4 win over the New Jersey Jackals.

Tucker Nathans led the Newark Bears' offensive threat, as he got on base two times in the game. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He homered in the second inning.

Nick Giarraputo racked up two RBIs on two hits for the New Jersey Jackals. He singled in the first inning and homered in the third inning.

Matt Fitton got the win, running his season record to 3-2. He allowed four runs over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out seven, walked six and surrendered four hits.

Craig Clark (3-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked five and struck out six.

The Newark Bears easily handled the New Jersey Jackals pitching as six hitters combined for eight hits, six RBIs and eight runs scored.
