Trent Lockwood drove in the go-ahead run to give the Grand Prairie AirHogs the lead in the ninth inning, as the Grand Prairie AirHogs hung on to beat the Worcester Tornadoes (14-25) 4-3 on Wednesday.
With the Grand Prairie AirHogs trailing by one in the ninth inning, Lockwood came to the plate and doubled, scoring Greg Porter.Lance Day handled the Worcester Tornadoes' lineup with ease, racking up five strikeouts. Day allowed two earned runs on five hits and one walk over six innings.
Ronnie Morales recorded the win for the Grand Prairie AirHogs. He tossed one inning of shutout ball. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered no hits.
Ryan Bicondoa couldn't get it done on the hill for the Worcester Tornadoes, taking a loss. He lasted just eight innings, walked four, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
