The Grand Prairie AirHogs shut the door early on the New Jersey Jackals (21-14), capturing a 14-4 victory on Sunday at Yogi Berra Stadium.

With nine runs in the first three innings, the Grand Prairie AirHogs left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

An RBI double by Bryan Frichter during the first inning and a single by David Thomas, a single by Keanon Simon, and a fielder's choice in the second inning helped the Grand Prairie AirHogs put some runs on the board early.

Simon racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Grand Prairie AirHogs.

Josh Brownell picked up the win for the Grand Prairie AirHogs. Brownell allowed four earned runs, seven hits and one walk while striking out six over nine innings of work.

Nick Giarraputo racked up two RBIs on two hits for the New Jersey Jackals. He singled in the fifth inning and homered in the seventh inning.

Jon Kibler couldn't get it done on the mound for the New Jersey Jackals, taking a loss. He allowed 13 runs in six innings, walked five and struck out four.
