A walk-off single from Jairo Perez brought home the winning run for the Grand Prairie AirHogs (46-39) in a 12-11 victory over the El Paso Diablos in 15 innings at QuikTrip Park on Friday.
Perez racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Grand Prairie AirHogs. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the tenth and fifteenth innings.
Both squads had things going at the plate, tallying 23 runs and 42 hits, including zero extra base hits. Both bullpens were busy with 13 pitchers used in the game as the skippers of both squads tried to finish it off.
Ray Silva improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Grand Prairie AirHogs. He allowed two runs over three innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered five hits.
Drew A. Graham ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked two, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
