Dorado allows no runs to lead the El Paso Diablos past the Wichita Wingnuts 6-0

Reyes Dorado held the Wichita Wingnuts (48-36) scoreless for six innings to boost the El Paso Diablos (40-41) to a 6-0 victory.

Dorado struck out one and allowed two walks and five hits.

The offense exploded for the the El Paso Diablos in the eighth. In the inning the El Paso Diablos scored four runs.

Zane Chavez helped the El Paso Diablos take the lead for good in the eighth inning. Fernando Valenzuela singled to start the eighth. He then went from first to second on a single by Jermy Acey. Finally, Chavez came to the plate with the game scoreless in the eighth inning and doubled, bringing home Valenzuela and Acey.

Chavez racked up two RBIs on two hits for the El Paso Diablos. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the eighth inning.

It was a good day at the plate for the El Paso Diablos' Valenzuela. Valenzuela went 3-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the fifth and eighth innings and doubled in the ninth inning.

Justin Harper got the win, running his season record to 3-1. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Ryan Hinson (8-6) took the loss for the Wichita Wingnuts. He lasted just seven innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
