Pitchers had a tough day during the game between the Wichita Wingnuts (42-29) and the Amarillo Sox (35-37), as the two teams put up 25 runs combined in a 15-10 the Wichita Wingnuts win.

The two teams combined for 30 hits in the game.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the fourth, with seven lead changes.

The Wichita Wingnuts took the lead in the fourth inning and held on for the victory. An error scored Ryan Khoury and gave the Wichita Wingnuts the lead for good.

Wilberto Ortiz racked up five RBIs on four hits for the Wichita Wingnuts. He singled in the second inning, homered in the fifth inning, and doubled in the fourth and eighth innings.

Jared Simon improved to 3-5 on the year by picking up the win for the Wichita Wingnuts. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Cliff Springston couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Amarillo Sox, taking a loss. He allowed nine runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked none and struck out one.
